WRS Health Named LabCorp Certified Vendor

Leading web-based EMR recognized for ICD-10 preparedness

GOSHEN, N.Y. (Updated August 16, 2021) – WRS Health is pleased to announce it has been named a LabCorp Certified Vendor in recognition of its software’s readiness for ICD-10 implementation. WRS Health has made the necessary enhancements to support ICD-10 coding mandates, which will go into effect October 2015.

LabCorp provides leading-edge medical laboratory tests and services through a national network of primary clinical laboratories and specialty testing laboratories. The certification represents LabCorp’s assurance that it can receive ICD-10 diagnosis codes transmitted from WRS Health’s system.

ICD-10 coding mandates replace ICD-9 code sets and allow for expanded coding detail along with combined diagnosis codes to better define certain conditions. WRS Health has made enhancements and adjustments to its current system in preparation for ICD-10 mandates going into effect, including adding functionality that includes automatic mapping of ICD-9 to ICD-10 codes.

WRS Health will be offering a series of ICD-10 training webinars and self-guided training videos in the coming months. Announcements about these events will be distributed to clients when finalized.
