Greater Hudson Valley RHIO receives $1.2 million HEAL NY Grant; selects Waiting Room Solutions EMR & Practice Management Solution.

APRIL 2007 - The New York State Department of Health announced that the Greater Hudson Valley RHIO was awarded a HEAL NY Grant in the amount of $1.2 million. The Greater Hudson Valley RHIO is a not-for-profit organization created to advance the implementation of Electronic Health Records as well as the interconnectivity of information by and between various healthcare stakeholders. Among the providers participating in this project include: physicians, hospitals, insurers, pharmacies and nursing homes.

The Greater Hudson Valley RHIO has selected Waiting Room Solutions' internet based software application for its Electronic Medical Record and Practice Management Solution. The Greater Hudson Valley RHIO was selected from a field of many other applicants and is one of only two RHIOs from the Hudson Valley region to receive funding under this grant.
